Silly old slow slide - By Bellah

-->
Swimming

Broom broom Nana, Grandad , Harry  and I we’re off on Tuesday in the second week of the holidays to Frankton swimming pool  which is about a 10 minute drive from Arrowtown (where we were staying ) .

After a quick 10 minute drive we arrived at Frankton pool . We quickly payed, jumped in our togs and got in to the hot, boiling, steamy pool . First me and my Nana got in to the lazy river it’s a place where you can take a frog board and lie on it and it will pull you along.  I went around about 3-4 times then I finally got out. It was hard to get out.

Then I decided to go on the hydroslide with Harry and Grandad and go on the fast slide, but it was closed cause someone broke their leg on it. So I had to go on the silly old slow slide but it was fun anyway cause it went pitch black.  It was awesome. Then when I got to the end I got a huge splash of water in my face. After that I got back in to the nice warm pool and had a go at jumping a huge red circular blow up toy but I couldn’t get over so I asked Grandad to lift me. I just got over.  I was really tired then so we got changed and went back to Arrowtown.

Best Frankton pool trip ever!!!!!!!

A note about our Mihimihi's from Mrs Hogan

Thank you for visiting our Blogspot. The children have worked very hard in Term 1, 2012 to learn their mihimihi. Our main aim was to learn what is in a mihimihi, learn basic sentence structures and know what we are saying. We used artwork to help us recall the maori words and sentences.These are not formal and technically correct mihimihi. This is the start of our learning and in years to come we hope to refine and improve on our first attempts.

Not all children created a movie as it was extension for those who mastered their mihimihi and finished their weaving.
